There are maybe hundred ways to make Turkish pita. This one is made with sliced meat, cheese, pepper and tomatoes. Such a delicious and easy recipe of Turkish pita with cheese and meat.
Ingredients for the dough (For 2)
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 glass of warm water
- A package of dry yeast
- A pinch of salt
Ingredients for the filling
- 300 grams cube sliced meat (For 2)
- 1 green pepper
- 1 red pepper
- 1 medium sized tomato
Turkish Pita with Cheese and Meat Recipe
Mix all the ingredients for the dough and when let it rest for half an hour at room temperature so that it will rise.
Divide the dough into two and roll it out with a rolling pin.
Slice peppers and tomato finely and then mix them with finely sliced meat. Cook this filling with butter until the meat is ready to eat.
Make some kind of a bread form with the dough, fold and brush the edges with egg yolk and olive oil.
Preheat your oven at 180 degrees. Put the filling inside the pockets of the dough.
Bake your Turkish pita with cheese and meat for around 30 minutes. Sprinkle grated cheese 5 minutes before taking it out of the oven.
