- 1.5 cups of warm water
- 1 pack of powdered dry yeast (half a pack of fresh yeast can also be used)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 3-4 cups of flour (add slowly)

Mix all the ingredients well. You should get a soft dough. Yogurt is the most important part of the Turkish bread recipe. Knead the bread dough well, cover it with a wet cloth or wrap it with cling film and leave the dough for at least 2 hours so that it rises well. Take some flour in your hand and knead the dough a few more times and shape it. Scratch the bread with a knife.
Cook the bread in a preheated 230 degree oven. The trick is to pour 1 glass of water on the floor of the oven before putting the tray with the breads in the oven. Then, without opening the oven, we bake the breads for about 25-30 minutes until they look golden brown.
